Job description
Responsible for leading and directing the entire product development process and department to ensure the quality, timeliness and appropriateness of the developed software products.
Requirements
Project management skills, proven ability to work with software engineering
Good understanding of software project management techniques and concepts, including work breakdown, task estimation, risk and issue planning and management, critical path analysis, and project and resource tracking
Good teambuilding and relationship building skills
Proven team leadership, project management and partnering skills, customer empathy and the ability to drive technical integration and business related issues
Ability to forecast and juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Team player having worked on cross-functional project teams
Accuracy and strong analytical skills.
Attention to details
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure.
Ability to communicate clearly (both verbally and in writing) within the department, and with internal partners – specifically the account and product management
Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze problems and issues “outside the box”
Proven track record of working through all phases of product (software) development lifecycle and delivering software applications to market.
Background in use cases and formal requirements elicitation is an asset
Knowledge in Java - advantage
Software and Architectural background - advantage
